Marty is a native of Atlanta and Founder of The Harbin Agency, Inc. He is a graduate of Woodward Academy and Georgia State University.
Marty's career in insurance began in 1977 and he earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1993. As an independent insurance agent, Marty provides Personal, Commercial, and Life insurance services to customers throughout Georgia and surrounding states. As a Registered Representative with Cambridge Investment Inc., Marty provides a full range of retirement and investment services.
Marty has also served as the State Senator for District 16 in the Georgia Legislature since being elected in 2014. He is currently Chairman of the Insurance and Labor Committee, Vice-Chairman of the Retirement Committee, and is a member on both the Finance and Ethics Committees.
Marty and his wife, Debbie, have been married and living in their home in Tyrone since 1978. They have six married children and thirteen grandchildren (so far). They are active members of Flat Creek Baptist Church.”
